"Being in Nature and feeling her to be so fully herself, helps me ease into being myself again. Watch a bird try to pick up more than she can carry. Remember that the Moon never gives herself a hard time for waning. When we give voice and color and shape to how we connect to Nature, we gather into the Circle of Life."
Margo McCreary, artist and naturalist

All of my pieces are unique, handbuilt using a variety of surface finishes, including ceramic stains and washes/glazes, smoke fired, or painted. The clay at times includes paper, metal, glass or other texturing materials. Pieces may be similar, but are never the same.
"Balance" series is newest work in clay, freestanding figures, totemic guides. I will comment further on my discovery of "Inukshuk" while working on these pieces.
"....les fleurs" are sculptural forms suggesting both flower and figure, sensual, undulating, colorful. Earth Forms, geodic many using textured clay, also experimenting with finishes, smoke, paint. I explored the shallow bowl form adding ridges, suggesting trailing roots, rivers flow, paths. These were inspired by Andy Goldsworthy, an environmental artist. "Other works" gallery images showing a variety of explorations in clay along the way.
The "Rhythm of Life" paintings. These paintings were done in the U.P. of Michigan this summer. They are about energy. They reflect the light, the sky, the trees, the spirit, the wind, all things.
There is a spiritual content to my work,it runs like a thread, whether landscape or figure. They have a soul of their own. They are all and all is one.
